Thank you for sharing this contemplative piece! You have highlighted many important points which reflect my own observations of taiwanese media & their relation to the state of politics today.

Some initital thoughts/questions:
- How do you think the nature of media in Taiwan has changed the way politics is being conducted? In particular you brought out the point on the seemingly partisan nature of the divided Taiwanese media. Media content which is sensationalised is more likely to be report. Hence I put forth the hypothesis that overtime political conduct and discourse is geared to be "newsworthy". A classic example is the agressive repertoire towards Zhang Mingqing during his visit to Taiwan.

- You mentioned about the "representational crisis" of the media. How distinct do you think media opinion is from that of the ordinary Taiwanese?

- The point about the "legitimization of knowledge" is very interesting. Can you elaborate further pls?

Look forward to your views! Thank you!
